TCB Huntsman Vest
TCB Huntsman Vest
It's my memoir when I went to Sweden to meet VIktor Fredback in June this year.
It was a good summer day we left Japan and it took about 20 hours in total to get to Stockholm from Kojima. I'd never experienced Nordic summer but it was lovely weather for a T-shirt and a Good Luck Jacket style. During that trip, I thought I'd lost my passport just within my bag three times, actually lost my hotel card key once, got a witch's shot on my back, and almost wet my pants once because of the difference between the toilet situation in Japan. Well, after a few months after the trip, all these stories became just good, priceless memories, though, just like the catchphrase of the MasterCard TV ad l I saw when I was a kid.
I always want to turn such experiences into positive ones, so I started thinking about making a vest that I can wear casually and easily store keys, Airpods, passports, etc. for the first time in a long time. In the past, I made a work vest by cutting the sleeves off an OSHKOSH engineer jacket, but this time I made a vest based on a 1930s hunting vest.
I wanted to add some work flair to it, so we've made both denim and chocolate canvas ver.
In the past, TCB has always tended to make brown canvas variation for many products, but this time I've changed things up a bit and made a custom made chocolate canvas fabric. It can be worn elegantly over a shirt, and I'm planning to wear it over a T-shirt or hoodie, or tuck it inside a denim jacket to prevent my belongings from getting lost.
