This vest is made from cotton ripstop, a material that embodies "travel = adventure." Ripstop fabric, which is made by weaving threads in a grid pattern, is highly resistant to friction and tearing, and the lining is made from fine-count ripstop fabric for ease of wear. The front features a D-pocket, a popular design found on vintage leather jackets from the 1930s and 1940s, while the back features a game pocket found on hunting and fishing vests (both of which were also used as map pockets at the time) with a 7-link chain zipper, creating an original and practical finish. The bottom of the lining features hand-stenciled laundry needlework.
